ACTIVEIGHT is about the intangibles, the art, and the people that give fitness its deepest purpose. ACTIVEIGHT is a collaboration between fitness professionals and enthusiasts that goes beyond the science of movement to the craft of inspired action.

As fitness professionals, coaches and trainers, we possess the incredible opportunity to influence lives in profound ways. We create and offer spaces, places and experiences that build powerful and supportive communities by connecting and empowering people with the fitness they need, and deserve to act inspired in this life.

We need to honor this sacred calling. And we can truly only achieve that by activating one another. This experience has been created so that as coaches and human beings, we can share our unique talents, motivations and experiences in natural and authentic ways. It’s time to encourage, support, affirm and create with one another. It’s time to rise up! It’s time to activeight! For those we’ve been given the privilege of leading and those we haven’t met yet...

BJ Gaddour

Fitness Professional, Author of “Your Body Is Your Barbell”

BJ GADDOUR, CSCS, is a bodyweight exercise and metabolic training expert. Named one of the 100 Fittest Men of All Time by Men’s Health magazine, he’s the creator of Men’s Health fitness DVDs DeltaFIT Speed Shred, Bodyweight Cardio Burners, and BodyweightMuscle Burners. He is the CEO of StreamFIT.com, an online fitness resource that provides streaming workout videos.

Jeremy Shore

Founder of Strength To Serve / Dynamax Balls Lead Educator

Jeremy Shore is a Holistic Strength Coach and Fitness Media and Education Specialist with over 15 years experience. He’s the lead Education Advisor for Dynamax Medicine Balls and the former Education Director for Trigger Point Performance Therapy. Jeremy has made appearances on the The Doctors, The Rachael Ray Show as her trainer, and on other morning shows coast to coast. Jeremy is an on-air contributor to Men’s Health Magazine and host of the new Men’s Health 15 Minute Workout: Arms, Abs, & Chest DVD. He is also an online fitness expert and host for Livestrong.com and co-host of the 3V YouTube show: 30-Second Fitness. Jeremy is the Founder of www.StrengthToServe.com, revolutionizing the culture of fitness.

Adam Campbell

Editor in Chief and Fitness Director of Men’s Health Magazine

Adam Campbell is the Editor of MensHealth.com and the Fitness Director for the Men's Health brand. He is the author of the New York Times best-selling book, The Men's Health Big Book of Exercises, and The Women's Health Big Book of Exercises. Campbell has won two National Magazine Awards, and has appeared on Today, Good Morning America, The Early Show, The Dr. Oz Show, and Fox News.

Jen Widerstrom

Fitness Professional and Trainer on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser”

Formerly a star of NBC’s television show American Gladiators, Jennifer has continued to be sought after as a TV and internet personality. Currently she is working as an expert for Women’s Health often featured on Access Hollywood Live and in 3V's 30 Second Fitness shorts. Additionally she is the lead female trainer for IHG's new Even hotel line, the Wellness Life Coach for MSN.com, and a fitness expert for Fitbie online.

Along side her contributions in the media, she is an elite personal trainer/group fitness instructor certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine with an emphasis in balance training, cardio performance, reactive and resistance training as well as in neuromuscular stretching. She is also a Master Trainer for Dynamax Medicine Balls and has also achieved her Crossfit Level 1 Certificate.

Dave Gleason

Owner/Head Coach Athletic Revolution, Pembroke MA

Dave is the Owner of one of the top youth training facilities in the world – Athletic Revolution Pembroke, and has worked with thousands of athletes ranging from the shy six year old to all-stars at the professionals level. He’s also an acclaimed international presenter on youth fitness and widely regarded as the industry’s ‘go to guy’ for coaching kids ages 6-13.

Dave has been played a pivotal role in the development of the assessment and programming systems for Athletic Revolution International as well as new franchisee training and support. Athletic Revolution and it’s programming is now recognized in over 19 countries around the globe.

Dave is consultant to Reebok International, Adidas (USA) and consultant to trainers, coaches, physical educators, youth sports organizations and public school systems K-12.

Dan John

Strength and Throwing Coach

Dan John has spent his life with one foot in the world of lifting and throwing, and the other foot in academia. An All-American discus thrower, Dan has also competed at the highest levels of Olympic lifting, Highland Games and the Weight Pentathlon, an event in which he holds the American record.

Dan spends his work life blending weekly workshops and lectures with full-time writing, and is also an online religious studies instructor for Columbia College of Missouri. As a Fulbright Scholar, he toured the Middle East exploring the foundations of religious education systems. His books, on weightlifting, include Intervention, Never Let Go, Mass Made Simple and Easy Strength, written with Pavel Tsatsouline as well as From Dad, To Grad.

Paul Theodore

Owner, FMU Fitness

Coach Paul Theo is the owner of FMU Fitness, a Christian-based youth fitness and adult training company in Cleveland, Oh. An ex-division one college wrestler and now fitness coach, motivational speaker, and author, he works with hundreds of kids and adults each week through is group training programs and community events. His reach extends far beyond his gym walls as he runs multiple school obstacle races and local charity events throughout the year. He resides with his beautiful wife Amber, and 4yr old son Giovanni and 10 month old Alana. Theo was voted Cleveland’s Best Trainer, he has been featured on Men’s Health Top Trainer Challenge, and he ran an activprayer event called Pull-ups for Zoe that raised $39,000 for Cystic Fibrosis through a world-record setting pull-up attempt.
